Wastes and garbages abounding in the streets of Port-au-Prince remain an issue of concern for environmentalists. Some associations and neighboring residents are themselves drawing attention to the increasing pile of plastic containers everywhere. The latter represents 10% of the amount of garbages generated in residential areas.

Many people acknowledge that these wastes are a source of diseases for the population when they are set on fire as it is always the case including the threat of burning tires almost anyywhere in the capital.

Dreaming of a safer environment and a cleaner capital, many environmental supporters launch desperately campaigns to collect garbages, plastic wastes, and other type of recycling materials polluting the city of Port-au-Prince. But, does everybody participate or contribute to the success of these projects?
