"I am a firm advocate of the power of education, and I humbly believe that the best way to educate the world is by compiling hours of footages into a comprehensive documentary," says Patrick Dorsainvil. "By doing so, I hope to raise a cohesive level of consciousness among all Haitians, Haitian-Americans, and friends of Haiti. Hopefully together we can contribute to putting Haiti at the forefront of the minds and the hearts of all of those who believe in preserving and showcasing what's left of Haiti's rich culture and marvelous history," he states.
This discovery is what Patrick Dorsainvil wants to share with you in his second version of Haiti's Hidden Treasures' documentary.

Haiti has still tremendous potentialities, but the Corporate media will never tell you that...
What's in it for them?
Why should they care?
Haiti is your country... it's up to YOU to promote it... and if you do not... "ou fek komanse pedi respe-w devan lot pep..." Nobody cares about the good side of Haiti... But you do... Your pride depends on it. You cannot be proud of something you don't know... It's time to know where you really come from. Blending in... and pretending... to be from another place might hide the scars but... you know who you are... you are Haitian for life... and you cannot hide the truth from yourself!
And all the bootleg Haitian Radio stations in your community, with ONLY one reporter in Cite Soleil, they are not helping neither! Let me tell you something:
There's a lot more to Haiti than Cite Soleil, Bel Air, and the political fiascos happening in the Haitian white house and in the senate. If you take time to discover the hidden treasures of Haiti, you will fall in love with your country once again.
If you want to know more about our richness as a nation, then you have to see Haiti through the lens of Haitian filmmakers like Patrick Dorsainvil, one of the few people who really invests his time and energy to document the Hidden treasures of Haiti
Have you seen his first documentary? You can Order Haiti's Hidden Treasures Part 1 & 2 here
The more you support him and people like him in their quest for knowledge, the more you will know about your beloved country.
As you already know, when they portray Haiti, they paint it so bad that one might wonder if there is a normal life in this country, which has been under abusive stereotypes for years.
However, what they never told you is the evidences of great cultural and historical sights and sounds of Haiti's civilization in what Patrick Dorsainvil called "Haiti's Hidden Treasures."
Some of the most beautiful images are on: Hidden Treasures Part II.

How much do you know about Haiti?
Well honestly, if you only know Haiti through the mainstream media, I'm sorry to say that the ONLY thing you know about Haiti is HOW POOR IT IS, exactly what they want you to know because... Bad news sells!
It's 2009! Do you want to know how RICH Haiti is?
You see, in all the networks and all the newspapers around the world, bad news sells, bad news IS what makes money. Unfortunately for us Haitians, the bad side of our country is the only thing that the world knows about because, like you, I hope not, they only know how impoverished Haiti is.
My suggestion... and the only cure?
Learn the things that will make you proud of your country, your Haitian heritage, and your Haitian culture... Teach the ignorant fools out there who keep repeating the same crap they read in every news article:
"OH YEAH!!! Haiti is the poorest country in the western hemisphere" << Thanks for the Ad but... No it's not...
We have a very rich culture, strong family values, and we take care of our own as best as we can. That's something to be proud of.
And... The last time I checked, being poor is not eternal. NO CONDITION IS PERMANENT like my Motivational Speaker friend Rene Godefroy says.
Maybe I should write a book... I have a lot on my mind :) OK... Back to the real story...
